A NOTE REGARDING CRYSTALIZATION
It is important to note that honey naturally crystalizes. This is more so the case for raw honey which has been cold-extracted and not heat treated. Raw honey has antibacterial properties, contains antioxidants and pollens. Heat treating or pasteurizing honey, will extend the period of time to crystallization, which is why larger suppliers do this as it helps to prevent the honey from crystalizing on supermarket shelves. However, it also impacts on the honey’s taste and breaks down the pollens and enzymes which provide honey’s key health benefits.
If your honey crystalizes, remember that it has not gone off and that it can be gently warmed to 40 degrees Celsius to regain its liquidity. Be careful though, as heating the honey beyond 40 degrees will cause the pollens and enzymes to start to break down. After being heated above 40 degrees for an extended period, your honey can no longer be considered raw. It’ll still taste great and make for a fantastic table honey, but it may not be as good as before it was heated.
Note that as we cold extract our honey and keep it raw, it’s much more likely to crystalize than a pasteurized equivalent. Please consider this a sign of quality rather than a detriment.
PRODUCT RETURNS OR REFUNDS
If you’re unhappy with a product that you’ve purchased from us, please let us know so that we can provide you with a replacement or, if preferred, a full refund.
All returns, refunds or exchanges must be submitted to us within 14 days from the date the product was received. If you have concerns about the quality of your received product then please reach out as early as possible.
Returns, refunds or exchanges must be accompanied with proof of purchase. If you’ve ordered online, please provide us with your order number. If you’ve purchased from an outlet, then please provide us with us with either a receipt or a picture of the product along with date and time of purchase.
Online purchases will be refunded via the same method that payment was submitted. For in-person purchases, please contact us to discuss your preferred method of repayment.
Customers will be responsible for paying for any return shipping that may be required. For local purchases, we’ll be more than happy to pick up and replace any defective items in person.
DAMAGED OR CONTAMINATED PRODUCTS
If your product has been damaged during shipping or shows signs of contamination, please contact us immediately so that we can correct any flaws in our processes. We’ll also be happy to send you a replacement, or if you prefer, a full refund.
ITEMS MISSING
If your order has been shipped but products are missing from the package, please let us know so that we can correct this for you. We’ll happily cover shipping for any missing items.
